This last week

Lilly was actually sick last week and then she seemed to feel better for a few days and then was sick again, I took her into the Dr. Sunday to make sure it wasn't strep it wasn't. she had a UTI it was bad she was hurting so much. Then Tuesday afternoon Kaitlynn started to have a fever and not feel good, around 5:00pm her temp hit 103.1 I gave her some medicine but after and hour there was still no change, I was able to get her into the Dr. at 7:20pm he checked her out and didn't see anything noticeably wrong, he took a urine sample in case she by chance had a UTI too and checked her for RSV both came back negative, he assumed she must have a viral infection and that she'd feel better in a few days. One hour later she had a fibrile seizure, we rushed her to the ER (nice that it took us less than one minute to get there). Patrick rushed her in while I went back home to get P and L who were sleeping (it scared me so much to leave them for the 3 minutes I was gone even though they were asleep and the house was locked). When we I got back to the ER Kaitlynn had stopped seizing and they were able to get her to start responding and following things with her eyes. My folks were able to rush down to get P and L and go back to our house. After blood work and a chest x-ray they found she had pneumonia, she had to have an IV for a round of antibiotics and since they were able to get her fever under control they let her come home that night. Needless to say we didn't get that much sleep that night, we had to take her back to the ER again in the morning for another round of antibiotics, and then we were given a prescription for more. Thursday night she finally turned a corner and has stopped having fevers and is acting like her happy self again. Let's hope we can all stay well for a while.
