Payten's thumb

Yesterday Payten came to me and told me that his thumb hurts, i was surprised to see it all swollen and purple and red.... we drained some of the infection out and hopped that this morning it would look better. Well it did a little but I still wasn't satisfied and noticed it had spred around his thumb and there are red streaks going to his wrist. So i took him to the dr. he gave us some anitbiotics and said to bring him back if it gets worse or hasn't cleared up in 10 days. And that they may have to go in and see if something is stuck inside :(. My fear is that it might be a spider bite.... and did i remember to ask when i was at the dr.'s, nooo...... and now i]ve been waiting for 4 hours for him/nurse to call back.
